Compartmentation of Self
My work seeks to address the physical and artificial lines (borders, social norms, demographics, status, etc) that separate us from one another. In particular, I chose to explore this topic through the lens of Haitian and Dominican women, two groups with many shared experiences that are divided by the lines that have been literally, and metaphorically, placed between them.
